Well, we watched "Stranger Than Fiction" last night on DVD, and I have to say, I was very pleasantly surprised. It was well written and well acted, and truly very funny. Will Farrell is perfect as Howard Crick, and the supporting cast is all very good as well. Much better overall than I thought it would be.
We went to the farmer's market this morning down by the marina and bought some produce in the sunshine. I think we're going to try and make Ina Garten's Provencal Vegetable Soup with Pistou. I am sort of obsessed with The Barefoot Contessa right now. Everything she makes is so tasty. The Lemon Chicken with Croutons was delicious for two separate meals- once as a simple roasted chicken and a second time as sandwiches. Mmm. I think I'm getting hungry.
We also bought this apple juice (perhaps cider?) at the market that is like crack- it is so good. I actually hate apple juice, because it is so sweet and syrupy, but this is like the essence of all that is apple in liquid form. I may have to kill people to get more. It's from Johna's Organic Orchard, from whom we also bought some organic Fiji apples. Richard is claiming that I shouldn't drink the juice because I'm pregnant, but I think he's just trying to get more for himself. It is sooo good.
Anyhow, I need to go bleach the kitchen sink since R just cleaned our turtle's tank. Waylon has a lovely clean home now, but I probably have all kinds of bacteria in my sink, so Clorox to the rescue.
