By the way, regarding your most recent post on your blog, I can feel your pain about the nonsensical and expensive car repairs. Last year, just before the winter holiday season, the inside door handle (I ask you!) fell off our car. We worked around it. We would open the window and reach outside to open the door.
Then the outside door handle broke off.
We used an old knife to open the door for a couple weeks and then I decided I was too heavily pregnant to climb out of the window Dukes of Hazard-style, so we bit the bullet and spent about $300 to get both handles fixed.
I felt that being able to get in and out of the car was one of those basic things you could take for granted. Apparently the Toyota motor company did not agree.
